Maren Lynn Chaloupka is a plaintiff's trial lawyer. She represents people injured by defective products, automobile collisions, dangerous premises, intentional acts and professional negligence. She also practices in the areas of civil rights litigation, criminal defense, employment law, and civil and criminal appeals.

Miss Chaloupka is a native of Scottsbluff. After earning her law degree from Emory University in 1995, she accepted a one-year appointment as judicial clerk to Chief Justice C. Thomas White of the Nebraska Supreme Court. She began practicing law after her clerkship ended in 1996. Since that time, Miss Chaloupka has maintained an active statewide trial and appeal practice, having once tried nine personal injury cases to verdict in a twelve-month period. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Nebraska Association of Trial Attorneys. As the chair of that organization's Amicus Curiae committee, she writes briefs on cutting-edge legal issues such as the duty of care owed football coaches to injured high school players, and the constitutionality of statutory caps on damages. She has also testified before the Nebraska legislature on issues of interest to her clients, including products liability bills and bills addressing prison litigation.

In 1999, Miss Chaloupka attended Gerry Spence's Trial Lawyers College, a 31-day intensive trial school near Dubois, Wyoming. She was invited to join the faculty of Trial Lawyers College in 2000 and has taught at Trial Lawyers College and its related seminars since then.

Outside of the office, Miss Chaloupka is a volunteer for Theatre West Summer Repertory and has played the piano for several of its productions.
